Royal Oak Citizens Police Academy Info
Adult residents of Royal Oak have a chance to see the inner workings of the police department at the citizens police academy.

ROYAL OAK, MI -- The Royal Oak Police Department is offering a seven-week citizens police academy, the fall session starting on Oct. 4.
The once-a-week class, which will last about three hours every Wednesday starting at 6:30 p.m., has a minimum age requirement of 18 years. Also, all class participants must be residents of Royal Oak.
Students will get an "insider's look at the internal operations and challenges of the police department," according to the police.

All applicants will be screened before acceptance, and if you make it in, you'll be notified no later than Sept. 30.
