Royal Oak High School senior Erin K. Lynn has qualified as a 2015 National Merit Scholarship finalist.
Only 15,000 nationwide finalists are chosen each year. These 15,000 finalists are selected from an applicant pool of more than 1.5 million students and represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors.
Students are named by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation based on outstanding academic performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Qualifying Test taken as a junior.

Lynn is the daughter of John and Julie Lynn. sheis involved in Model UN and a member of the Orchestra.
She has used the opportunities available at Royal Oak High School to complete Advanced Placement coursework, which provide students the opportunity to complete college level courses while attending high school.

As a finalist, Lynn is among the academically talented high school seniors who has an opportunity to earn a National Merit Scholarship. More than half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title.
