ROYAL OAK, MI — A Royal Oak man was sentenced to prison for sexually abusing multiple teen girls, federal officials said Monday.
Nikolas Boris Mariani, 21, was sentenced to 11 years in prison after admitting in a guilty plea that in the fall of 2020 he forced a 14-year-old girl to have sex with him and that he received sexually explicit images from her. He met her on Snapchat.
In a separate incident, police also found a different 14-year-old runaway hiding nearly naked under Mariani’s bed, officials said. The young girl told police that she met Mariani over Snapchat and that they engaged in sex acts, officials said.

DNA evidence also linked Mariani to a third incident where he picked up a 14-year-old girl from her home in Flint and engaged in unlawful sex acts with her, and then left her in a parking lot in Detroit.
"This offender serially exploited minors that he met online. Our office will work tirelessly to pursue and prosecute individuals who exploit vulnerable children," U.S. Attorney Dawn Ison said.
