Royal Oak Police Blotter Update: Breaking And Entering, Larceny, Malicious Destruction

ROYAL OAK, MI — The Royal Oak Police Department released its weekly update, outlining what they've been up to. For the week of Aug. 3 to Aug. 10, there were 39 arrests total, and police received calls for breaking and entering, larceny, larceny from an automobile and malicious destruction of property.

Breaking and entering

1700 block of Cedar Hill, 8-7-17, 2:51 a.m. – 2:59 a.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) entered an open garage and stole several tools and lawn equipment. The suspect(s) also stole loose change from the complaint’s vehicle parked in the garage. 17-29066

Larceny

500 block of S. Connecticut Ave., 8-7-17, 5:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) entered his open detached garage and stole a lawn mower and leaf blower. 17-28862

25352 Woodward (LA Fitness), 8-9-17, 8:00 p.m. – 9:45 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) removed the lock from his locker and stole cash out of his wallet. 17-29101

Larceny from Automobile

3601 W. Thirteen Mile Rd. (Beaumont Hospital), 8-4-17 – 8-5-17, 4:45 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) removed all four center wheel caps from his 2010 Cadillac. 17-28935

8450 W. Ten Mile Road (Detroit Zoo), 8-9-17, 12:00 p.m. – 13:00 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) broke the driver’s side window of her parked 2009 Volkswagen and stole the in-dash navigation system and a bag. 17-29064

Malicious Destruction of Property
3000 block of Durham Rd. 8-7-16, 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side rear window of his parked 2006 Toyota. 17-28824

Delemere Blvd & Normandy Rd., 8-5-17 – 8-7-17, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknow suspect(s) damaged the windows on several pieces of parked construction equipment/vehicles. 17-28806

Eleven Mile Rd. & Rembrandt Ave., 8-5-17, 10:51 p.m.: Complainant, an UBER driver, reported an intoxicated female suspect kicked the door of his 2008 Chrysler after exiting the vehicle. The female suspect then left the area. 17-28670

200 N. Main Street (Emagine Theatre Parking Structure), 8-9-17, 4:35 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to a report of two (2) male subjects spray painting graffiti on the walls of the top level of the parking structure. Royal Oak officers identified the two (2) male suspects and upon completion of their investigation, placed both suspects under arrest. 17-29075

• One (1) Possession Counterfeit Bills, Misdemeanor Warrant, and Possession of Marijuana
