Royal Oak Police Investigate Multiple Larcenies
Police took a report from a woman who said her wallet was lifted from her purse while she was grocery shopping.

ROYAL OAK, MI ā A woman who was shopping at Meijer, 5150 Coolidge, the afternoon of Aug. 10 reported to police that she walked away from her grocery cart briefly and discovered that someone had stolen her wallet from her purse.
Police also took multiple larceny reports from Aug. 4-11. Items stolen included a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Toro lawnmower, bicycles, power tools and other items.

Breaking and Entering
4700 block of Hillcrest, 8-1-16, 6:45 a.m. ā 2:05 p.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered his residence through a bedroom window while complainant was at work. The suspect stole several pairs of sneakers and two (2) watches. 16-27718
Larceny
222 E. Eleven Mile (Royal Oak Public Library), 8-6-16, 2:01 p.m. ā 4:30 p.m.: Complainant reported he left his black/red Nakumara mountain bike unlocked in front of the main entrance to the library. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen his bicycle. 16-27845

1600 block of N. Vermont, 6-1-16 ā 8-6-16, 12:00 p.m. ā 9:05 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked garage and stole a Toro lawnmower. 16-27801
2725 Nakota Rd. (Great Lakes Construction), 7-29-16 ā 8-2-16, 6:00 p.m. ā 8:00 p.m.: Complainant reported that an unknown suspect entered the warehouse of the business and stole several power tools. 16-28118
4100 block of Linwood, 8-5-16 ā 8-7-16, 7:35 p.m. ā 9:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his black/green Murray mountain bike behind his residence. When he returned he discovered his bicycle was stolen by an unknown suspect. 16-28182
Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile
1000 block of N. Wilson, 8-4-16 ā 8-5-16, 7:00 p.m. ā 7:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the walkway leading up to his front porch. When he returned he discovered it had been stolen by an unknown suspect. 16-27608
S. Main and W. Second, 8-7-16, 1:15 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his 2014 Chevrolet Camaro on Main Street near Second. When he returned he discovered his vehicle had been stolen by an unknown suspect. The vehicle was recovered a short time later, unoccupied, on I-75 near 9 Mile in the City of Ferndale by a Michigan State Police. 16-27906
Larceny from an Automobile
1612 E. Eleven Mile (Tubbyās Subs), 8-5-16, 3:00 p.m. ā 4:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in the parking lot of the business. While he was inside the business, an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and stole a cutlery carrying case containing a set of Cutco knives and a spatula. 16-27968
Twelve Mile and Fern, 8-4-16 ā 8-5-16, 9:00 p.m. ā 8:30 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her car on Fern near Twelve Mile. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had entered her unlocked vehicle and stole her wallet. 16-27710
600 block of E. Eleven Mile, 8-5-16 ā 8-7-16, 6:00 p.m. ā 4:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in a parking lot. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen a bicycle rack from his vehicle. 16-27962
700 block of Florence, 8-7-16 ā 8-8-16, 9:30 p.m. ā 6:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in front of his residence. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle and stole sunglasses, a t-shirt, and an iPad. 16-28039
700 block of N. Sherman, 8-7-16 ā 8-8-16, 10:45 p.m. ā 1:30 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in front of his residence. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had entered his unlocked vehicle and rummaged through the contents. 16-28047
2600 block of Oliver Ave. 8-8-16 ā 8-9-16, 8:00 p.m. ā 7:30 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle in front of her residence. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had entered her unlocked vehicle and stole an undisclosed amount of currency from the center console. 16-28110
3400 block of Benjamin, 8-7-16 ā 8-8-16, 8:00 p.m. ā 2:00 p.m.: Complainant reported she parked her 1998 Mazda 626 in a parking lot. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had attempted to steal the catalytic converter. 16-28164

28300 Woodward (Seville Motel), 8-8-16, 3:53 a.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with outstanding misdemeanor warrants. She was arrested without incident. 16-27998
