Regarding the incident that took place in RO August 2019. I am a RO resident. I watched the video and listened to the 911 call. I didn't see anything the officers did wrong. However, the officers were reprimanded and one resigned (we know what that means... resign or be fired). The officers did their job and answered the run. The African American man was not cuffed, not touched, not restrained and never told he was not free to go. The African American man requested a supervisor so the video was long waiting for a supervisor. In my opinion, the African American man saw he had an audience and used it for his advantage. Race baiting needs to stop! We don't know why the woman made the phone call. We don't know what she experienced in her past. But she chose to call the police. I watched the video and I believe the officers handled it the same way they would have handled it if the African American man was white. The Chief should have backed his officers. I DO NOT believe the officers involved are racists.
