Police, City Hall Phone Lines Down In Royal Oak

Police are working to reroute calls to Madison Heights police.

ROYAL OAK, MI — The phone lines at the Royal Oak Police Department, along with several other city buildings, are down. Royal Oak is one of the dozens of cities across southeastern Michigan to be impacted by a DTE power outage Sunday as the winter storm spreads throughout the state.

Until further notice, residents should direct non-emergency calls to 248-545-6672 or 248-545-6632. Call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency; the emergency phone number is unaffected by the power loss.

Power and phone lines are out at Royal Oak City Hall, 211 S. Williams. The building is open to the public, but limited services are available.

The senior center is closed, including senior transportation and Tim’s Kitchen, as well as the Lindell Ice Arena and library.
