Royal Oak Woman Get's Lost Driving Home While Drunk, Falls Asleep Behind Wheel: Cops
Police said they found the 32-year-old woman sleeping behind the wheel in her 2014 Audi A6, which was parked off the road in Troy.
ROYAL OAK, MI — A Royal Oak Woman was arrested in Troy after police said she fell asleep behind the wheel while driving drunk.
Officers found the 32-year-old woman sleeping behind the wheel in her 2014 Audi A6, which was parked with the hazard lights on off the roadway in the area of Wattles and John R roads, at 4:45 a.m. on July 16, Troy Police said.
After officers woke up the woman, she told them she got lost on her way home, police said.

Officers then asked her to perform several sobriety evaluations, which she failed, police said. She then submitted a preliminary breath test with a result of .14 percent, which is over the legal limit of .08 percent for driving in Michigan.
She was then arrested and placed in the Troy Police lock-up where she agreed to have her blood drawn by medical personnel, police said.

Police said the case was turned over to the Detective Bureau for appropriate warrants once the blood results are returned.
Officials did not release the woman's name.
