Royal Oak Woman Reports BB Gun Fired at Window

A man reported someone forced open a bedroom window and stole a small safe, and another man reported theft of two handguns and a long gun.

ROYAL OAK, MI — A Royal Oak woman told police that someone shot a BB gun through the front window of her apartment sometime while she was away for several days.

The incident on the 4900 block of Woodland is believed to have occurred sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 and 4 p.m. on Aug. 20, according to a news release from the Royal Oak Police Department.

The BBs penetrated the first pane on the double pane window, but did not enter the apartment, according to police.

29486 Woodward (Subway), 8-21-16, 4:45 p.m.: Complainant reported he left his 21” Huffy mountain bike unsecured behind the business. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen his bicycle. 16-29855

1900 block of Kalama, 8-19-16, 12:30 p.m. – 12:45 p.m.: Complainant reported he left his red men’s Honda mountain bike in a driveway unattended. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect has stolen the bicycle. 16-29538

600 block of E. Eleven Mile, 8-21-16 – 8-22-16, 10:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.: Complainant reported her black Mongoose bicycle and a white unknown brand bicycle were stolen from her apartment courtyard by an unknown suspect. 16-29973

3202 Greenfield (Jumpstart Daycare), 8-18-16 – 8-19-16, 5:45 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Complainant reported she forgot her IPad at the daycare center. When she returned she discovered her iPad had been stolen by an unknown suspect. 16-29981

1200 block of Morse, 8-20-16 – 8-21-16, 3:30 p.m. – 7:45 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect stole several ladders, extension cords, and work lights from a construction site. 16-29917

Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile

2100 W. Twelve Mile (Shrine Church), 8-20-16, 12:05 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his 1973 AMC Javelin in the church parking lot. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had stolen his vehicle. 16-29711

Larceny from an Automobile

300 block of W. Kenilworth, 8-15-16 – 8-16-16, 8:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his 1998 Honda Civic near his residence. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had entered his unlocked vehicle and stole the in-dash radio. 16-29132

2400 block of Yale Ave. 8-23-16 – 8-24-16, 9:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked van and stole a messenger bag, and a Bluetooth headset. 16-30154

Malicious Destruction of Property

1400 block of Royal, 8-18-16 – 8-19-16, 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his car on the street in front of his residence. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had broken the driver side door window. 16-29668
