Royal Oak's Student-Run 'ROX' Concert Dates Announced

More than 120 students are involved in one or more choirs that will perform at the end-of-the-season concert.

ROYAL OAK, MI – Dates have been announced for “ROX,” a highly anticipated annual student-run concert that showcases the musical talents of more than 120 students involved in Royal Oak High School choirs.

The dates this year are 7:30 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday, May 12-13, at the Royal Oak High School auditorium, 1500 Lexington Road, north of 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak.

Students select and arrange the music for the final program of the year, Choir Director Debra Buffa. The high school choirs include the Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers.

Tickets for the concert are $10 per person and are available at the door both evenings. In addition, tickets can be purchased in advance by mailing a check (payable to Royal Oak High School) with the requested number of tickets, and a note, to: Royal Oak High School – ROX Tickets; c/o Deborah Buffa – Choir Director; 1500 Lexington Blvd., Royal Oak, MI 48073

A free Afterglow event will be held after the concert to give the audience a chance meet the performers and mingle with other audience members.
