As a follow-up to the Evening of Empowerment in September, Royal Oak SAFE (Suicide Awareness is For Everyone) and Common Ground present safe TALK on Saturday, November 16 from 10am - 1pm at the Mahany / Meininger Senior Center, 3500 Marais Ave.
This training prepares you to identify persons who may have suicidal thoughts and connect them to first aid resources for suicide prevention.
This training is for anyone ages 15 and up who understands that suicide is preventable and wants to help stem the tide of this epidemic in our society.
The fee is $20 and is payable to Common Ground, a non-profit organization that helps people in crisis.
