Say it ain't so. The Patch is about to complete the dumbing down of the pc revolution by catering to the "app" addicts.

From what I hear the format of the patch that allows commentary and return commentary is about to change entirely to accommodate hand held screens. 
Shrinking screens for shrinking brains, cannot wait. With all its foibles including past unnecessary censorship (eg my suggestion to write in Batman for mayor in Royal Oak), and the flood of those posting free adds on the speak out and town square format overwhelming public commentary, it still is a place for a local news format including a provision for an interchange of ideas and commentary. If only it would return to that and stop trying to be the new "Enquirer" or yahoo. This substantiated rumor does not bode well for those of us who prefer to enjoy a locally focused Patch on our pc's or large screen home computers. Remember you heard it here first!
