Southeast Michigan Businesses Offer Scholarships

Local businesses, charity organizations, and more team up to provide scholarship opportunities for local students.

We all know how important it is to get a college degree if you want to stand out in the job market - and in these economic times, making employers take notice is more important than ever.

Of course, the lingering question on any college student’s mind is an oft-repeated one: “how am I going to pay for all this?”

A common solution is to apply for scholarships, but even that can become a process all on its own. There’s a seemingly endless amount of scholarships out there, but in many cases things like current location, enrollment status, and even your high school can be a factor in whether or not you qualify to receive these scholarships, and it can get pretty confusing after long.

Luckily, for students in Southeast Michigan, there’s been a large number of companies and organizations stepping up to help students with the financial burden of paying for their higher education through scholarships. These scholarships are available to nearly any student residing in Southeast Michigan or the Metro-Detroit area and are provided by various businesses and organizations from throughout the area.

Who qualifies: Residents of Michigan who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, or students who will be enrolling in the next semester (8 students chosen)

Who offers it: Shelving, Inc
Who qualifies: Residents of Michigan who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program relating to business studies, or students who will be enrolling in the next semester with a 2.8 minimum cumulative GPA
