When we try to separate the mind and body, we often wind up sabotaging our goals.
If we eat past feeling full, we are filling an emotional need, not a physical one. From there, we rationalize that we can "make up" for eating too much by exercising more.
In this case the exercise can become a punishment for overeating, rather than a necessary component of healthy living.
Try to recognize emotional triggers to prevent overeating. But if it happens, forgive yourself and get back on track.
