Currently Upton Elementary School has 12 classrooms and approximately 320 students. Upton has been trying to raise money to incorporate more technology into the students learning by trying to put Mimio interactive teaching technology into the classrooms. However it is very costly and Upton has not successfully been able to purchase all the necessary needs for each class. Students are engaged when they are able to learn through the use of hands-on experiential methods. Incorporating this with technology increases the chances students will be highly motivated in their learning. MimioTeach provides the ability to turn a whiteboard into an interactive SMART Board. MimioVote provides a way to formatively assess the students to quickly determine whether they understand what has been taught. In doing this, the teacher can work individually with students or offer a different way to present the material with which the students have difficulty grasping.
