What would you do to improve the city?

What improvements would you like to see being made to the city of Royal oak?
Is there anything that you think the city could do to improve the downtown area to make you want to spend more time there?
What are some things you think the city could do without?

I personally wouldn't mind seeing a small community garden in every neighborhood especially those that have apartments where people can't really grow things if they want to. There are so many parks in the town and instead of selling them off let the community buy into them and take care of them if they choose to.
We need more bike friendly pathways or roads.
We could do without so many bars, but I get why they are there.
I personally would like to see a place like the Detroit flyhouse open in the area and be a place for kids and adults alike.
These are just some of my ideas, what about you? What would you like to take part in if the city offered it?
What is missing from the city that you think could benefit the community?

I would like it if people would keep this to a let's improve the city over let's bash the city for all they do horribly wrong and need to fix.
