It turns out Metro Detroit residents aren’t the only fans of the Detroit Zoo’s annual Wild Lights holiday display.

The display of 5 million LED lights has caught the attention of USA Today editors, who included the display as a contender in the “10Best Readers’ Choice Awards” contest for the best zoo lights.

Twenty zoos across the country are in competition for the top spot, and the winner is determined by votes from the public. Wild Lights vans can vote every day — and on multiple device — through noon on Monday, Dec. 21.
