Woman Says Purse Stolen as She Sat at Royal Oak Bar

ROYAL OAK, MI — Police are looking for a woman accused of stealing a purse a customer at Mt. Chalet, 32955 Woodward Ave., hung on the back of her chair while she was sitting at a bar on the night of Aug. 13.
The customer said the theft occurred between 9:45 and 10 p.m. She saw the woman leave the bar and get into a black SUV, possibly a Ford Escape. The SUV was last seen southbound on Woodward Avenue.
The woman had red hair, stood about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and was wearing a black shirt and black shorts. A witness reported seeing a black male seated in the passenger seat of the SUV. He was wearing a Detroit Tigers hat.

25600 block of York, 8-13-16, 12:01 a.m. – 9:43 a.m.: Complainant reported an unknown suspect entered her unlocked residence and stole her purse and a 2012 Buick Enclave which was parked in the driveway. Complainant reported the theft occurred while she was in the basement watching television. The case is being investigated.16-28637
Unlawfully Driving Away an Automobile
4100 block of Edgar, 8-16-16, 12:08 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her 2003 Chevrolet Silverado on the street in front of her residence. At approximately 12:08 a.m. she heard her truck start, looked outside, and observed an unknown suspect driving her truck southbound on Edgar.
A Berkley officer spotted the stolen vehicle driving southbound on Greenfield at Catalpa and attempted to stop it. The suspect fled from the Berkley officer. The pursuit was terminated near Greenfield and 8 mile. The suspect was described as an unknown male. 16-29005
Larceny from an Automobile
25700 block of Woodward, 8-12-16 – 8-13-16, 9:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in an apartment complex parking area. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had entered his unlocked car and stole loose change.

25700 block of Woodward, 8-12-16 – 8-13-16, 11:00 p.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in an apartment complex parking area. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had entered his unlocked vehicle and stole miscellaneous change and sweatshirt. 16-28627
25600 block of York, 8-14-16 – 8-15-16, 9:30 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her car in her driveway. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had entered her vehicle and stole an undisclosed amount of currency. 16-28896
Buckingham and Greenfield, 8-15-16, 2:30 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his truck on Buckingham while doing concrete work in the area. He observed a black sedan, possibly a Cadillac Catera, stop next to his truck. A subject exited the vehicle and stole two (2) Husqvarna concrete saws from the truck bed, got back into the car, and fled the area westbound on Buckingham to northbound Greenfield.
The suspect was described as a black male, thin build, wearing a white t-shirt. The victim observed two (2) other black male subjects in the vehicle but was unable to provide any further description. 16-28932
Malicious Destruction of Property
Main and Sixth Street (Parking lot), 8-14-16, 11:00 p.m. – 11:23 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his car in a parking lot near the Main and Sixth Street. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had broken the rear windshield of his vehicle. 16-28860
2200 block of W. Fourteen, 8-12-16, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his car on the Elmhurst Street near Fourteen Mile. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had damaged the windshield with an unknown object. 16-28478
300 block of Dewey, 8-11-16 – 8-12-16, 11:30 p.m. – 9:00 a.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle on the street in front of his residence. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had damaged the driver side door handle and lock. 16-28938
E. Bloomfield and N. Wilson, 8-13-16 – 8-14-16, 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m.: Complainant reported she parked her vehicle on E. Bloomfield near N. Wilson. When she returned she discovered an unknown suspect had keyed the driver side fender and hood. 16-28933
300 block of N. Troy, 8-9-16 – 8-10-16, 8:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.: Complainant reported he parked his vehicle in the apartment complex parking area. When he returned he discovered an unknown suspect had broken out the rear windshield. 16-28272

28300 Woodward (Seville Motel), 8-14-16, 5:04 a.m.: Officers conducted a motel check and located a subject with a warrant for a probation violation. He was arrested without incident. 16-28768
