Acoustic Routes Presents Luke Winslow-King wsg Jake Enos and Mary Johnson

New
Orleans resident Luke Winslow-King is a guitarist, singer, composer and lyricist
known for his slide guitar work and interest in pre-war blues and traditional
jazz.  A native of Cadillac, Mich., he
plays an eclectic mix, taking in delta-folk music, classical composition, Ragtime,
and rock-and-roll; juxtaposing original songs with those from a bygone era.

All-Music
Guide founder Michael Erlewine called him a “brilliant songwriter and
composer,” and The New York Times described his music as “A boiled-down
live, almost improvised, sound that seamlessly melds Delta blues, gospel and
jazz themes with personal, simplified lyrics… It also makes for one heck of a
road trip companion.”

Special guests will be duet partners Jake Enos and Mary Johnson, both recent graduates of Saline High School.
