• Officials Investigate Oily Substance in Saline River (thesuntimesnews.com) — An oily substance discovered entering the Saline River at Curtiss Park has prompted an active investigation by Saline police, fire, public works, and state environmental officials. Crews have traced the material to storm drains uphill from the park, collected samples, and say the affected area appears small, with no park or river-use restrictions announced yet as testing continues.
   

• FOOTBALL: Saline Rolls Over Skyline, 59-0 (thesalinepost.com) — Saline football fans can celebrate a dominant 59-0 win over Skyline, played at Huron after a power outage in northwest Ann Arbor. Quarterback Case Campbell and receiver Cruz Hanson led an explosive Hornets offense, while coach Kyle Short praised the team's growing identity and depth as Saline improved to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC Red.
