• RunTough for ChadTough Event Set for Sept. 27 (thesalinepost.com) — Saline's ChadTough fundraising push continues with a Sept. 27 RunTough 5K and mile run, following special ChadTough nights at Hornet Stadium and in the Saline gym. Local teams and families are raising money to fight DIPG, the pediatric cancer that took Chad Carr's life. Organizers invite residents to run, donate, or fundraise in his honor.
   

• 2026-27 Saline Community Fair Ambassadors (thesalinepost.com) — Saline students have been named 2026-27 Community Fair Ambassadors, representing the fair and helping lead events that many local families attend each year. The four teens, most from Saline High School, support 4-H, agriculture, and community service while earning small scholarships. Residents can learn more about the ambassador program and future opportunities on the fair's website.
