Saline Recognizes National Police Woman Day with Proclamation (thesuntimesnews.com) — Saline leaders recently issued a formal proclamation honoring women police officers and celebrated several local trailblazers, including Police Chief Marlene Radzik, at the Sept. 14 City Council meeting. The event highlighted Saline's first female officers, recognized Washtenaw County's first female sheriff and chief assistant prosecutor, and underscored how women in law enforcement are shaping safer, more trusting community relationships.
2. Saline Twp: Regular Board Meeting Minutes 8/12/26 (thesuntimesnews.com) — Saline Township's August 12 board meeting covered a packed agenda, from farmland preservation and cemetery improvements to recycling, roads, and a new planning commission representative. Officials also discussed the data center project, watershed representation, and code enforcement, giving residents a snapshot of how local money, land use, and services are being managed right now.
3. Weekly Data Center Watch: Rules, Tax Breaks and Ratepayer Costs Take Focus (thesuntimesnews.com) — A massive data center planned in Saline Township is drawing new attention as state and local officials debate tax breaks, utility costs, and operating rules for similar projects across Michigan.
