Jaycees Set May Meeting Date

YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN -- The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees have announced the date of their May meeting. The meeting will take place on May 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Park Senior Center, 1015 N. Congress St., in Ypsilanti. The meeting is open to the public.

Scheduled to speak this month is Suzanne Kapica from the Lincoln Schools PTA. Kapica will promote their upcoming carnival fundraiser on May 31.

The Jaycees are assisting the PTA with their event.

The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees meetings allow members and the public to hear about upcoming projects and events produced by the organization, gain insight from guest speakers, network with one another, and to find out how to get involved in the community.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Socializing and Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees is a local chapter of the United States Junior Chamber, which represents more than 18,200 young adults in over 680 chapters across the country. Jaycee chapters focus on empowering its members to create positive change in their communities and in themselves by developing leadership skills.
