The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees are proud to announce the 2013 Board of Directors that will be instrumental in building leaders! The Jaycees is an organization that gives indivudals, age 21-40, an opportunity to gain leadership skills while making a positive impact on the community. Our programming offers members leadership skills, community involvement, personal development and social opportunities.
The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees have elected their 2013 Board of Directors who will lead the local chapter's plan of action. Chapter projects have included Ypsilanti's Easter Egg Scramble and Marshmallow Drop, Relay for Life, Ypsilanti's 4th of July and Heritage Festival Parades, the Beautiful Babies Contest at the Heritage Festival, and Ypsi's Got Talent. In 2013, the Ypsilanti Area Jaycees are planing to continue involvement with these projects and more.

To mark the installation of the 2013 officers and to celebrate the chapter's accomplishments from 2012, the Ypsilanti Area Jaycees are holding an Inaugural Ball on Jan. 18 from 8:00 p.m. Until 11:00 p.m. at Frenchie's, 52 E. Cross St., Ypsilanti, MI. Tickets are $15.00 each for the general public. The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees is a local chapter of the United States Junior Chamber, which represents more than 18,200 young adults in over 680 chapters across the country. Jaycee chapters focus on empowering its members to create positive change in their communities and in themselves by developing leadership skills.
