
YPSILANTI, MICHIGAN – The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees have announced the date of their first meeting of 2013. The meeting will take place on Jan. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Recreation Park Senior Center, 1015 N Congress St, in Ypsilanti.
The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees meetings allow members and the public to hear about upcoming projects and events produced by the organization, to network with one another, and to find out how to get involved in the community.
This month, the Jaycees will host Brian Tell, a member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Rutherford Pool. Tell will update the Jaycees about the current status of the rebuild of the community pool and how the organization can become involved.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Socializing and Networking begins at 6:30 p.m., with the meeting beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The Ypsilanti Area Jaycees is a local chapter of the United States Junior Chamber, which represents more than 18,200 young adults in over 680 chapters across the country. Jaycee chapters focus on empowering its members to create positive change in their communities and in themselves by developing leadership skills.
