AUDITIONS for "A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol"

Adults and kids ages 6 and up are invited to audition for Saline Area Players’ production of A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol by Flip Kobler & Cindy Marcus. Auditions will be held Sunday, October 19 from 3-5:00 PM, and Monday, October 20 from 7-9:00 PM, at Liberty School Auditorium, 7265 N Ann Arbor St in Saline. Please arrive 30 minutes before the audition time to register. Show dates are December 4-7. Rehearsals will take place on Saturday mornings from 9 AM-12 PM, and Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8 PM.

The auditions will consist of theater games, singing familiar Christmas carols, and readings from the script. You will be asked to fill out an audition form and a conflicts sheet, listing all conflicts you may have during the rehearsal period. It is vital to the director to know your conflicts when casting the show. The forms as well as character descriptions can be downloaded from the website www.salineareaplayers.org or picked up during registration.

The well-loved Dickens’ tale (A Christmas Carol) gets a new look as it is populated with familiar fairy tale characters like the Big Bad Wolf, Cinderella, Jack of beanstalk fame and more! This fun play has numerous speaking parts as well as a chorus with singing and dancing opportunities. Kara Cardella who is a veteran in directing SAP’s Christmas plays will direct this show.
