Back to School: Pleasant Ridge Elementary
Here's what's new at Pleasant Ridge Elementary as students prepare to return to school.
New Faces: New to Pleasant Ridge Elementary School this year are principal Brad Bezeau, and first grade teachers Cindy Clark and Linda Schrieber.
New Places: Former first grade teacher Jeanne Lambros will teach special education this year.
New Spaces: The custodial staff was busy all summer long applying fresh paint throughout the school, and there is now a bulletin board dedicated to the Saline Area Schools initiative with district-wide information available to parents. It is located near the parent drop off loop.

New Programs: Pleasant Ridge Summer Reading Camp was just completed, new this year, for kindergarten and first grade students at risk. The program was coordinated by Kristen Schwartzenberger and Dottie Caldwell. Also, the Response To Intervention literacy support program will expand to include second graders. Readers Workshop is new this year.
Rules For School: Creating culture and climate, Pleasant Ridge introduces the new PR High Five: 1. Be polite. 2. Be prepared. 3. Be safe. 4. Be respectful. 5. Respond when spoken to.

School Day Hours: 8:50 a.m. - 3:35 p.m.
Walk-Through: Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 6 - 7:30 p.m. The event will include tables from the school's PTA, Saline Community Education and Saline Recreation Center.
