Back to School: Saline Alternative High School

Here's what's new at Saline Alternative High School as students return to class.

New Faces: English and multimedia teacher Staci Nazareth

New Places: All other instructors are in the positions they held last year.

New Spaces: The annual deep cleaning and reimaging has been completed from the summer educational program.

New Classes/Programs: Staci Nazareth is creating a new multimedia program that will inform the students about online blogging and documenting the goings-on in the school. The program will also venture into the community for events and gatherings.

Rules For School: The Saline Alternative High School has developed a stricter attendance policy to deal with excessive truancy.

School Day Hours: 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Orientation/Walk-through: An open house for parents is scheduled for Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m.. Students interested in the program can call ahead and set up an appointment with Principal Carol Melcher at any time.
