Baker College awards $2,000 in engineering scholarships
Two students at Baker College of Jackson earned scholarships to pursue an education in mechanical engineering
Baker College of Jackson has awarded Adam Jarrett, of Blackman Township, and Isaac Moody, of Grass Lake, each with a $1,000 scholarship to pursue their education in mechanical engineering.
“Isaac and Adam have displayed a high level of commitment to furthering their education at Baker College,” said Patricia A. Kaufman, Ed.D., Baker College of Jackson president. “With the assistance of these scholarships and the opportunity to take advantage of Baker College’s new, state-of-the-art manufacturing center these students are one step closer to entering the high-demand field of mechanical engineering.”
Jarrett, a 2014 graduate of Jackson Christian High School, and Moody, a 2014 graduate of Grass Lake High School, are working toward bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering.

Moody interned full time at LeMatic Inc. this past summer and has continued to work part time while attending Baker College. LeMatic manufactures slicing, packaging and automated systems for the baking industry.
