Junior Counselor Program offers great job training

Saline Parks & Rec is now accepting applications for volunteer Junior Counselors to help out with the Summer Kids Camp program. This program is for teens who want to further develop their leadership and communication skills as well as gain experience in planning and instructing activities for youth ages 5-12. Each JC will be paired with a senior camp counselor and a group of campers. Volunteers must be available to work 2 days per week and available for at least 8 weeks between 6/18-8/31. JCs are provided with a staff shirt, appropriate training and upon completion, a certificate of participation. Prospective junior counselors should apply at the front desk of the Rec Center. Interviews will be conducted to determine who will be selected for this program. Space is limited. Applications must be turned in by May 11.  Interviews will be conducted beginning May 14.
