Parks Commission Names 2011 Green Thumb Award Winners

The Parks Commission received 49 residential nominations and five business nominations for the 2011 Green Thumb Awards. 

This is the most ever nominations recieved since the program started over 10 years ago.

Three residential winners were announced. The are:

• The Graber residence at 416 Berkshire.
• The Lemelin residence at 599 Rosemont.
• And the Niebylski residence at 131 Wallace. 

Back to Basics Montessori at 116 W. McKay was our business winner. The owner is Annette Helmuth. 

Congratulations to all of this years nominees. 

Everyone really put alot of effort into making their properties and the entire City of Saline a more beautiful place this summer. We look forward to the start of the 2012 Green Thumb program next June.
