Saline Area Soccer Finishes Up the Spring 2012 Season

Check out what is happening with the Saline Area Soccer Association.

Saline Area Soccer Association has had a great spring season!  Our 00 Sting Gold boys travel team won their WSSL U12 division. This was a great present to their coach, Nath Akella, who is retiring this season.  The 00 Swarm White girls travel team, coached by Ryan Williams, won their final game of the season with a strong 5 to 0 score.   The 03 Sting Black, led by coach Steve Petty, won their division at the Pacesetters Tournament in Ohio over Memorial Day Weekend. 01 Swarm Black narrowly missed out on winning the Bowling Green Tournament in April when the game came down to penalty kicks!  This is just a small sampling of the success of the SASA teams this spring.

This Saturday, June 9th, the SASA Recreational program will be finishing the spring season with a Recreational League tournament for our U10, U12 and Boys Open divisions.  You'll notice the soccer-mania when you drive past the SASA Community Drive Fields between 8 am and 4 pm. Come join us and watch some great soccer games. We'll have soccer, face painting, raffle prizes for our players, and a visit from a fire truck.

The Saline Area Soccer Association soccer club has been in existence for over 20 years. We have a travel program for boys and girls ages U8 to U17 and have a strong recreational league for players ages 3 to 17.  There is a place for everyone within our club.  Travel tryouts will be held June 16th and 17th at Sandra Richardson park in York Township.  For more information or to register for either of our travel tryouts or recreational programs, go to www.salinesoccer.org.  Or call 734-780-2162 with questions.
