SASA Recreational League Tournament

SASA ends the spring 2012 season with a Recreational League Tournament for our U10, U12 and Boys Open divisions. Over 200 soccer players participated.

SASA held their annual Recreational League tournament on June 9, 2012 for the U10, U12 and Open Boys divisions.  It was a great day for all involved!

Bank of Ann Arbor presented SASA with a $5000 check for taking second place in their Project Help Facebook campaign.  The funds will help us to complete our field improvements at Campus Parkway, where the tournament was held.  A well has already been installed and sprinklers will be coming next with the help of a CARES grant awarded this spring.

The Saline Fire truck visited mid-day to provide a much needed cool down. They sprayed water from the hydrant for about thirty minutes and those not playing a game greatly enjoyed running in the spray.

The SASA players eagerly looked up their raffle ticket numbers to see if they had won a new SASA shirt, a soccer ball or goalie gloves.  In between games, the players and fans had their faces painted.

The champions for each division are as follows:
