Ann Arbor Concert Band Presents 'Music for a New Year'

The Ann Arbor Concert Band, led by conductor Dr. James  Nissen, presents Music for a New Year at Hill Auditorium, 825 N. University, downtown Ann Arbor.

The program includes

  • Symphonic Jubilee, by Joseph Willcox Jenkins
  • Dramatic Essay for Trumpet and Band, by Clifton Williams featuring trumpet soloist Phillip Rhodes
  • Variants on a Mediaeval Tune, Norman Dello Joio
  • Music for Prague 1968, Karel Husa;
  • Trittico, Vaclav Nelhybel
  • Trauersinfonie, by Richard Wagner

Tickets are available at the door, and $10 adults, $5 students/senior citizens, children 12 and under free.
