Join us for a toe tapping and foot stomping good time! The 5th Corner Teen Center, Saline’s only student-driven safe space, is co-hosting a fundraising concert and farm event Sunday, May 19, 2013. Scio Church Stables is throwing open the gates and welcoming everyone to take in the country views while listening to the fancy-fiddling of the Saline Fiddlers.
Put on your cowboy boots and step right up for face painting, pony rides ($5), popcorn, soft pretzels, cotton candy, lemonade, tea and plenty of fresh air and straw. Tickets may be purchased online at The 5th Corner and Saline Community Education. Adult tickets are $50/person or $90/pair so go ahead and invite your favorite cowboy or cowgirl! Youth tickets (11-18) are $15/person. Children 10 and younger admitted free. Event proceeds benefit The Fifth Corner with a portion of the ticket price tax deductible.
David Rhoads, Chair of The 5th Corner Administrative Board, is enthusiastic about the event. “We’re excited about this opportunity,” said Rhoads. “We appreciate Scio Church Stables’ offer to host this event and donate the proceeds to The 5th Corner. This will help us fund some additional items we have been trying to purchase for Saline’s teens.”
Scio Church Stables is a 200 year old farm located on Scio Church Road. “Our picturesque stable is a wonderful location for the event,” said Claire Hutfles, Events Director. “We are honored to host the Saline Fiddlers and to help raise funds for The 5th Corner.”
Gates open at 1:00pm. The Saline Fiddlers kick off their concert in the indoor arena at 2:00pm. Handicap accessible parking and seating is available. Limited tickets are available for this special event, so buy your tickets today!
