
Saline Area Historical Society is pleased to have Dorothy Kapp Shear present at our third education program of 2013. Dorothy originates from Northfield Township in Michigan, and will be discussing her book, “Farm Girl In a Feed Sack Dress,” and her own experiences growing up on a farm in the 1940s in Michigan. Her presentation will highlight the farm life transition from manual labor and horses, to mechanized farm equipment. Dorothy’s twenty plus years of farm life memories the joys and hardships as modern conveniences became more available. Programs are always free, they are open to the public and everyone is invited.
