Persons who have thought about being a volunteer at the RENTSCHLER FARM or the SALINE RAILROAD DEPOT MUSEUM will have an opportunity to explore possibilities when the farm and depot staff an Open House on SATURDAY, MAY 4 11:00-3:00.

Come find out what museum volunteers do and what kind of commitment is needed. Information about volunteer opportunities range from guiding, interpreting, being a docent at special events, staffing entrance or membership tables at events, and/or other jobs. If you have a craft or a skill that is needed at a particular time, we would be happy to know about it.

The first Saturday of May coincides with the opening of the 2013 season at the farm museum. Animals will have returned from their winter residence and guides will be on hand to offer free tours.

Be sure to stop at the Volunteer Booth in the Exhibit Barn. Representatives from both the farm and the depot will be on hand.
