Greater Detroit AsiaFest Debuts at the Royal Oak Farmers Market This Thursday Evening
Experience the amazing food, music and dance of Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, India and more all under one roof this Thursday evening

Whether they are passionate for sesame chicken, sushi, pad thai or pho, Metro Detroiter love Asian food. On the evening of Thursday, July 14, an exciting event that truly embraces this passion debuts at the Royal Oak Farmers Market called the Greater Detroit AsiaFest. A one evening multicultural food, music and dance festival, the Greater Detroit AsiaFest will feature the wonderful cuisine of and authentic entertainment representing China, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India and more. Event hours are from 6 pm to 10 pm. The Greater Detroit AsiaFest is the first time such a diverse group of Asian ethnicities are presented in a single event in metro Detroit.
The food of ten amazing restaurants and caterers will be featured. Our lineup includes 168 Asian Market, Empire Dynasty Chinese Restaurant, Fuji Japanese Buffet, Krishna Catering & Restaurant, MaMang Vietnamese Cuisine, Nice Modern Creamery, Punjab Sweets and Indian Cuisine, Sai Sweets, Sala Thai Restaurants and Teriyaki Madness.
A nonstop schedule of various Pan-Asian cultural music and dance performances will be featured on the event’s main stage from 6 pm to 9 pm. A boutique collection of shopping vendors and children’s activities will round out the experience making it a destination for Asian food lovers of all ages.

The Greater Detroit AsiaFest is sponsored by Vibe Credit Union and produced in alliance with the Council of Asian Pacific Americans and the National Association of Asian American Professionals.
Advance ticket purchases are encouraged. Adult tickets are $10.00. Tickets for children 12 and under are free. All paid tickets include $5.00 in food vouchers that are redeemable that night with any of our participating food establishments. The Royal Oak Farmers Market is an enclosed, air-conditioned facility located at 316 E. 11 Mile Road in bustling downtown Royal Oak. Free parking is available to attendees in the parking lots of the Royal Oak Farmers Market.
