Hornets Are Solid In Golf Finals
Saline High School golf team takes top-12 finish at the Division 1 state finals.
They may have fallen short of winning the Division 1 state title—that honor belongs to Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central this season—but the Hornets of can hold their heads high after a solid performance on a difficult Katke-Cousins Golf Course Saturday.
The squad finished the two-day tourney with a team score of 646 (320, 326).
Jackson Lambert paced the Saline squad with at two-day tourney total score of 157 (79-78), while Keith Long (160), Collin Stauder (162), Caleb Wittig (167) and Ian Martin (189) all turned in solid scores for the Hornets.

Individual honors went to North Farmington's Max Kollin (144) who won the medalist honors with a birdie on the first playoff hole over Davison's Kyle Kenkel (144).
