It's SHOW TIME for SAP's Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus

Saline Area Players perform Christmas show, Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, Dec 3-6.

Saline Area Players will perform Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, written by Jamie Gorki, this week at Fifth Corner, Saline. Actors of all ages, under the direction of Kara Cardella, have been rehearsing since October to bring you this classic story. About the play, Kara says “I appreciate the protection of innocence. Children grow up too fast!” The story, a cherished part of Christmas folklore, revolves around the 1897 editorial written in The Sun in New York City to an 8-year-old girl Virginia.

This is the 7th holiday show that SAP has produced, the same week as the Christmas parade (SACC). But, this year, there are some things that are different. First, the show is at Fifth Corner, 211 Willis Rd., Saline, MI 4876. The seating is general admission (and the venue is not handicap accessible). Kara says, “I’m very excited about performing in a new bigger venue.” Be prepared, the stage will be filled with kids and adults alike. Another addition this year is that “we have some really impressive choreography!”

What’s the same? “The tradition of families performing together has made this a holiday staple every year,” notes Cardella. What else? Ticket prices remain $5/person – a bargain. And, the show is perfect for family members of all ages.
