JOIN US FOR THE BOOK LAUNCH OF BEYOND THE LINES!

This coming Wednesday, March 30th, marks the launch of the second book in the Kids Like You Series, Beyond the Lines. Claudia Whitsitt, along with the women after which she modeled two of her characters, Crackers and Beverly Jo, will be signing books amidst other festivities of the evening. The party will be held in Room 108-109 of Heritage School from 5:30-7:30 PM.

Students in attendance will have the opportunity to enter a drawing. Two basketballs, signed by the book's characters will be given away at 6:15 PM and 7:15 PM. Kids will also join in placing their ideas for changing the world on the wall in Mrs. LaBoe's classroom. There will be lots of snacks, and tons of fun.

Claudia Whitsitt is a former Saline teacher who has spent her retirement writing books for middle grade students as well as visiting classrooms to encourage a love of reading and writing amongst Southeastern Michigan students. To date, she has spoken with over 7,000 students. Between the Lines, the first in the series, won an honorable mention in the 24th Annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Awards.
