Opossum meets the Ugly Duckling

Come early to Saline Area Players' show Honk! March 13-15 and meet an opossum in the lobby from The Creature Conservancy

Saline Area Players are performing Honk! March 13-15, a musical based on the Ugly Duckling story, filled with all kinds of animals including ducks, cats, fishes, froglets, turkey, geese, hen, bullfrog etc. To share in the animal theme, a local group, The Creature Conservancy will be coming to each show 45 minutes before showtime and bringing an opossum for kids/adults to pet and look at. If you didn’t know this, evidently opossums are amazingly friendly and cuddly. Come early and get in the animal spirit before the show begins.

Honk! will be performed in the Ellen A Ewing Performing Arts Center, Saline High School, March 13 at 7 PM, March 14 at 2 & 7 PM, and March 15 at 2 PM. Tickets are $15/adults and $12 for students through high school and seniors 65+. They are available via the website, www.salineareaplayers.org, by emailing honk@salineareaplayers.org, by calling 734-429-1480, or in person at Maureen’s Designs, 101 S. Ann Arbor St. Full show details on the website.

If you are interested in learning more about the The Creature Conservancy, check out their website at www.TheCreatureConservancy.org for more information. They are open on Saturdays from 1-5:00 pm and each month they feature a special animal. The animal this month is the emu, and there are presentations at 2:30 and 4:00. They are also actively taking registrations for their summer camp too!
