Rehearsals Underway for "Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus"
Saline Area Players are rehearsing for their Christmas show "Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus" to be performed December 3-6.
Rehearsals are underway for Saline Area Players’ next production, Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, on December 3-6. In a yearly tradition SAP performs a holiday Christmas show the same weekend as the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas Parade. This year it will be in a new location, at Fifth Corner, 211 Willis Rd.
The show is directed by Kara Cardella, who has nurtured and inspired countless child and adult actors over the years and who has directed 6 of our 7 holiday shows. The play tells the story of the writing of the famous editorial in 1897 in the Sun in New York City to an 8-year-old girl Virginia.
Cast Includes: Susannah Davis (Virginia O’Hanlon), Christine Eccleston & Fred Lupton (Mother and Father O’Hanlon), Ella Rumsey (Samantha O’Hanlon), Alex Jasman (Francis Church), Rich Hamann (Walter Gibson), Maureen Black, Sarah Hamann & Kate Conley (the Parkers), and Kelly Wade as Mrs. Fish-breath/Martha.
