Saline Area Players Announce Cast for Honk!
Rehearsals are underway for Honk!, a musical tale of the Ugly Duckling produced March 13-15 by Saline Area Players

Rehearsals began in January for the next show in Saline Area Players’ fairytale year of performances, Honk!, a musical rendition of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Ugly Duckling.” The production will be performed March 13-15 at Saline High School. Tickets will go on sale soon and all details are available via the website at www.salineareaplayers.org
Ugly, the young duckling who looks nothing like his chick siblings, is played by Alex Jasman. His parents are Ida and Drake, played by Patti Ringe and Rich Hamann. His mean siblings are played by Jordan Haerick (Beaky), Tess Carichner (Fluff), Tommy Hamann (Billy), and Everett Warila (Downy). Ugly heads out into the world and is preyed upon by Cat who wants to eat him, played by Andy Farnsworth. At one point, he falls in love with a beautiful swan, Penny, played by Adelaide Gregor. Throughout his adventures he meets various other characters including Queenie (cat) and Lowbutt (chicken) played by Kathleen Syverud and Kelly Wade and Bullfrog played by Gilbert Warila. Others in the cast include Harper-Jane Adkins, Justin Czupinski, Susanna Davis, Grace Dillon, Christine Eccleston, Drew Eccleston, Benedict Gregor, John Paul Gregor, Maurita Gregor, Madeline Gregor, Sarah Hamann, John Harrell, Katie Holmes, Adair Jost, Giselle Jost, Marie Laurio, Cordelia Leon, Christine Ozminkowski, and Mary Ziegler.
