Saline Area Players will present a 40th Anniversary Gala this Saturday, June 22 at 8 PM at Liberty School. In looking over all the pictures we have from 40 years, I thought it would be fun to share some of favorite theater dads. There is Mr. Gilbreth, the efficiency expert, from Cheaper by the Dozen, showing his kids how to take a bath. There is the King in The King and I watching as his many children greet him and meet Mrs. Anna. Then, there is the father of Rose in the musical Gypsy, who was never listened to. And, of course, there is Tevye from Fiddler on the Roof whose beliefs about love and marriage evolved through the play as his daughters chose their husbands.
