Officials said the man was riding a 2022 Can-Am Outlander on a trail near the crest of a hill.

As he descended the hill, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and throwing him from the vehicle, officials said.

The man came to a rest in a crevice on the hillside, while the vehicle continued downhill before coming to rest further below, officials said.

The man was killed in the crash, officials said.

Officials said he was wearing a helmet and do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role.

It remains unknown how much time elapsed between the crash and when it was discovered and reported by another park patron.

Officials are still investigating the crash.
