• UPDATE: Flock camera helped Sterling Heights track down shooting suspect, police say (macombdaily.com) — Utica residents should know local officers helped Sterling Heights police respond to a Hall Road shooting that briefly shut eastbound lanes near Schoenherr. A 33-year-old suspect was quickly arrested with help from license plate reader technology and now faces attempted murder and firearm charges, while the 18-year-old victim remains hospitalized.
   

• Schoenherr Road to undergo reconstruction next year (candgnews.com) — Drivers from Utica should expect major changes on Schoenherr Road, where a multiyear reconstruction from 23 Mile to 26 Mile will widen lanes and improve safety near Utica Community Schools. Backed by $3 million in state funding championed by Rep. Ron Robinson of Utica, the project will add a center turn lane, shoulders, and upgraded utilities starting in 2027.
   

• Macomb Area Conference Red Division Football Previews (macombdaily.com) — High school football fans in Utica will see Utica Eisenhower battling in a tightly packed Macomb Area Conference Red Division, with Romeo and Macomb Dakota again among the favorites.
