• Fr. Thomas Sutherland, 91, remembered as 'the people's priest' at St. Therese of Lisieux (detroitcatholic.com) — Utica-area Catholics are mourning Fr. Thomas Sutherland, a longtime Detroit Archdiocese priest who briefly administered St. Lawrence Parish in Utica and is being remembered as a humble, people-focused pastor. The 91-year-old served parishes across metro Detroit and Shelby Township, and condolences for his family can be sent to Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Directors on Hall Road in Utica.
