Artists and Vendors Wanted for 2018 Art Fair

Artists, Crafters, and Michigan Made Businesses, don’t miss an opportunity to be a part of the Shelby Township Art Fair. The Shelby Township Art Fair Committee is seeking artists and vendors for its 35th annual juried show to be held on August 11 and 12, 2018. This event is held outdoors on the Shelby Township Municipal Grounds.

The friendly, helpful, organized staff, easy load-in & load-out, and Friday night set-up are convenient. Plenty of free daytime and overnight parking close to exhibit areas, overnight grounds security, and complimentary coffee and donuts each morning help to create a fun, friendly atmosphere. All booths measure approximately 15’ x 15’ with some double booths available.

Features for visitors include family friendly music and other entertainment, kid’s craft and activity area, great tasting food, a sponsor tote bag giveaway, free entry, free parking and free shuttle bus.

CATEGORIES

ART MEDIA - Original, hand-made, one of a kind pieces (with the exception of prints), created and produced by the artist including, but not limited to: clay • digital • fiber • glass • jewelry • metal • mixed media • painting • photography • printmaking • drawing • sculpture • stone • wood • multi-media

EMERGING ARTISTS - Artists just starting to exhibit in any of the ART mediums listed above that don’t have enough work for a full booth. Each accepted artist will be provided with one 6 foot table and two chairs under the Emerging Artists Tent.

CRAFT MEDIA - Items created by the crafter and produced in small quantities including, but not limited to: home décor • clothing and accessories • jewelry that is not one of a kind

MICHIGAN MADE MARKET - Items created in batches by Michigan based businesses, including, but not limited to: food items • bath and body products • candles • toys and games • books • pet products

HOW TO APPLY

Applications are available at the Parks & Recreation Department or online at www.shelbyartfair.org. The application deadline is April 1, and jury results will be mailed on or around May 1, 2018.
