Grant supports special education classroom

Ebeling Special Education Teacher Stephanie Tonkin was honored to receive the Meemic Foundation Club’s 3rd Quarter Traditional Grant.

With the grant, she will be providing her special education students with more options for flexible seating in the learning center classroom.

The grant application was written to help students achieve their individual goals, and to ensure they have the best learning environment possible.

Awarding of the grant validates what we know about student learning, and that one student’s needs can be completely different than what the child next to them needs to be successful. Mrs. Tonkin’s students are so excited that they will soon have more seating options available to them!
